Furthermore, wheat germ oil can serve as a real help for menopausal problems and scanty, irregular or painful periods, if it is taken for some time. Weak sexual impulses, even impotence, can also be improved or cured if wheat germ oil is taken regularly. Yet this oil is not a stimulant drug, as is the case with preparations made from the African yohimbe tree bark; rather, it strengthens and normalises the functions of the organs in an absolutely natural way. It simply supplies the body with enough vitamin E to keep it functioning normally. For sexual weakness we recommend A. Vogel’s Wheat Germ Oil or capsules; to increase the effect, take Kelpasan at the same time.

Increasing the body temperature by several degrees induces a kind of artificial fever, which is able to burn up a lot of wastes, just as with a natural fever. In this regard, we cannot help remembering a statement made by Parmenides, the father of metaphysics: ‘Give me the power to induce fever and I shall cure every illness.’

Indeed, more healing can be done through increasing the body temperature than is generally thought possible. By raising the temperature to 40 or 41°C (104—105.8°F), disease-causing agents that are sensitive to heat will be destroyed. Regular Schlenz baths will have an effect on sensitive tumour cells or tissue, since they do not tolerate heat very well. Those who suffer from metabolic and circulatory disorders will benefit from a weekly Schlenz bath, as will anyone who has problems with the skin function and lymphatic glands, or who suffers from skin eruptions and eczema. In the case of all these disorders and ailments, regular Schlenz baths can lead to a complete cure.

When you first start, a Schlenz bath should last only half an hour. In time, you can increase the duration to two hours. In cases of obesity it is advisable to add sea salt, brine or a good bath salt to the bath water, in addition to the herbs. An attendant should use a tough brush to vigorously brush down the patient’s entire body once or twice during the bath. This has the same effect as an underwater massage and stimulates the capillaries. It removes congestions, and any unpleasant feeling of constriction will disappear.

For older people, horseradish, as well as garlic, is a most excellent medicine. Both regenerate the blood vessels, especially the arteries, and reduce the blood pressure. If you are over the age of forty, you should give these two remedies serious consideration. They serve an important purpose, act in a regenerative way, and are stimulating.

However, you must be careful not to use too much horseradish, since it is very strong. The Chinese make a horseradish relish that, if eaten without your knowing what it is, will take you by surprise as the pungent flavour goes up your nose, indeed, it seems, even to your brain, causing temporary discomfort. The sensation is severe and definite, as with any other strong stimulation, but do not forget that the effect is also one of cleansing.

Horseradish Syrup

If the symptom of catarrh refuses to disappear, try horseradish syrup. This remedy is also indicated for the treatment of weak lungs and other bronchial and respiratory problems, since horseradish contains an antibiotic substance similar to penicillin.

Prepare the syrup by adding honey to the grated horseradish. Mix well and press through muslin. The residue should be cooked with a little water and raw (unrefined) cane sugar, pressed out again, and then added to the syrup. This provides a strong medicinal mixture.

The child’s face was suffused by a bluish-red colour and Hahnemann realised immediately what had happened when the father showed him the pretty black berries he had snatched from the child’s hands – belladonna poisoning! By chance, the physician noticed that there was an extraordinary similarity in the appearance of the women and the child; both had a bluish-red flush on the face. The causes were different but the results were the same. The doctor suddenly realised what he must do, the significance of which has only become fully recognised and appreciated in our time: ‘Similia simi-libus curantuf, the ancient Hippocratic teaching and principle of similarity.

As soon as Hahnemann had given the child something to make it vomit, he went out with the father, broke off a branch of the belladonna with flowers and fruit, and squeezed the whole thing into some water. By diluting it to about 4x he prepared the yellowish-green liquid into a medicine, which he then gave to the sick woman. Noting her reaction, the doctor followed this up with a second dose, and a few more, until the woman was finally out of danger. Thus, the child’s belladonna poisoning saved the woman’s life and at the same time brought about a deeper understanding and knowledge of another law of nature.

It is most appropriate that nature has given this plant the protection of stinging exterior. Without it, we would probably never have the opportunity to benefit from its healing power. Animals, with their instinctive knowledge of what is good for them, would not leave us even one leaf.

The stinging nettle is rich in calcium, phosphorus, iron and other important minerals. It also belongs to the small category of plants that contain vitamin D. We already know that this vitamin is important in the development of the bones as well as for the assimilation of calcium. That is why eating raw nettles, either pulped or in the form of nettle juice, has a quick and reliable effect on rickets.

Many years ago I gave a lecture in Winterthur and mentioned that the stinging nettle was a wonderful help to those suffering from tuberculosis or weak lungs. A year later, I again delivered a lecture in that same hall. This time, a man from the audience stood up and announced in front of everybody that he had heard me describe the marvellous healing powers of the stinging nettle the previous year. His wife was then at home ill with tuberculosis of the lungs. Since her doctors could hold out no real hope of a cure, he began giving his wife food that was rich in calcium.

Was this plant given its name because its leaves are shaped like a cloak, or because it can ward off women’s illnesses in particular, and so protect them from harm? Perhaps both attributes have influenced the choice of this name. At any rate, let us look at this herb more closely. To do so we must leave the flat lowlands and climb up into the hills, not too high, though, for lady’s mantle grows at about 550-640 m (1,800-2,100 feet). Its true home, however, is the alpine meadows of Switzerland, where in close proximity we also find silvery lady’s mantle {Alchemilla alpina), a plant which looks a little more attractive but is less demanding as regards nutrient intake since it grows in poor stony soil. The less conspicuous common lady’s mantle {Alchemilla vulgaris) favours rich soil and it can be seen growing alongside the proud monkshood {Aconitum napellus) in hollow places where the earth contains the humus and nitrogen in which these two plants delight. You can also come across it near alpine dairies, where it proliferates together with the giant dock {Rumus alpinus). It grows very large in these places because of the rich soil.

The healing potential of lady’s mantle is of particular benefit to women and has also proved its worth in cases where the connective tissues lack sufficient strength, causing a tendency to hernia. It should be pointed out, however, that such constitutional problems require that an infusion made from the plant should be taken regularly for at least a year.

Many years ago Dr Zimpel developed the spagyric process in which plants are fermented by means of yeast fermentation. The carbohydrates ferment and are changed into alcohol. During this process certain medicinal properties are released and are also changed. New enzymes develop and these enhance the overall effect in the case of some plants, whereas in others, for example plants containing mucilage, the effect is diminished. This fermentation process, like any other method, has its advantages and disadvantages. In more recent times, Dr Strahtmeier has again started to use the fermentation process, with good results.

In addition to physical treatment to stimulate the circulation and regenerate the skin, there are some first-class plants that can be used for this purpose. St John’s wort (Hypericum) is most frequently indicated and widely used. Its oil-soluble ingredients promote good circulation in the skin because even the finest capillaries will be activated. Plants that contain mucilage, for example, com-frey and some mosses, rejuvenate the skin and, in time, can even soften wrinkles, since the skin tissue will recover its youthful tone. It is therefore most beneficial in the care of your face if you soak some cotton wool with Symphosan and dab your face with it after washing, or regularly apply Symphytum Cream. Should you suffer from eczema and dry skin, wash the affected areas with an infusion of heartsease (wild pansy) every day.

Badly functioning sebaceous glands tend to dry the skin and require the use of a cream made from plant oils, lanolin and vitamin F. Whatever cream you decide on, it should supply the skin with the substances it lacks. Creams with a vaseline base are not truly satisfactory because vaseline is difficult to saponify and the skin cannot absorb it. Bioforce Cream, on the other hand, is excellent for dry, even cracked and chapped skin. I would advise that any rich skin cream be applied sparingly; remember, too, that the skin absorbs oil or fat more quickly in cold weather than in warm weather.

It is important to try and reduce the virus’s chances of development as much as possible by eating, pure, alkaline food with a high vitamin content. Doing so, it is likely that the body’s own regenerative forces will be built up. I read a newspaper report only recently which confirmed the assumption that a diet made up of such food can bring successful results. The case in question concerned a child born with the AIDS virus whom the doctors at the Robert-Koch-Institute had given two more years, at the most, to live. At the same time they told the mother that the baby’s life could possibly be extended a little longer with the help of a vitamin treatment. According to the newspaper article, she followed this advice and every day gave the child two kiwi fruits, two grated apples with lemon juice, rusks and the juice of three oranges, in other words, pure, excess alkaline food with natural vitamins. Every two months she took her child for a check-up at the paedi-atric clinic. After some time the doctors were able to tell the happy mother that the last examination revealed a negative result – the AIDS virus no longer showed up. The child could be considered cured. Judging by this example, can we not draw the logical conclusion that every AIDS patient should live on only pure fresh food, that is, a diet of fruit and raw food?

The long list of detrimental influences on the health of our cells shows that determining the possibility of cancer is simply a question of calculation. Every one of’the described factors adds a few more percentage points to the possibility of contracting the disease, and as soon as the total of 100 per cent is reached, the negative influences will pull down the scales, the cells will become damaged and the disease, which can bring such pain and sorrow, will strike.

Once a tumour has formed, surgical intervention helps to calm one’s fears by removing it. However, the danger to the rest of the tissues can only be stopped if all contributory factors to the cancer are tackled. We should not be content with the surgeon’s reassurance that he has been able to find and remove everything and thus feel absolutely safe. Hormone treatment and radiotherapy create added problems for the cellular system and will not save a patient who has undergone surgery from the need to completely change his dietary habits and life-style.

The patient’s mental attitude towards the illness and all other vital matters must be put on a healthy basis. True, this may not always be easy for the convalescent, especially if members of his family lack the necessary understanding and do not support him. Nevertheless, he should make a serious effort since it will help to improve his condition and contribute significantly to his cure. At the same time, he will make life easier for himself and those around him. No doubt, this will be a blessing in itself.
